A beautiful commemoration of the 40th U.S. Presidential Inauguration of Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush. A Chinese Export-style porcelain plate featuring Fitzhugh type decorations (butterflies, flowers, latticework, etc.) in green with an American eagle in the center. The bottom reads, "Candlelight Dinner, Inauguration of President and Vice-President, January 18, 1981, Mottahedeh, New York, Shenango China, Division of Anchor Hocking, New Castle, Pa." This plate is in excellent vintage condition. One minor glaze imperfection on the underside has been shown in one photograph. There is no original box.
